Keystone Resort is the largest ski resort in Summit County located in Keystone, Colorado and consists of three mountains named Dercum Mountain, North Peak, the Outback, and 5 Bowls (Independence, Ericsson, Bergman, North and South Bowls) for skiing at every level. The three mountains are connected by a series of 20 ski lifts and 2 gondolas so there are seldom lift lines in Keystone. Collectively, the mountains form the largest operation in Colorado to offer at night skiing. Night skiing takes place after sunset until as late as 9 p.m. on as many as 15 of the resort's trails. The 5 Keystone bowls offer a back-country skiing experience with hike-to and snow-cat service. Just $5 for one ride gets to you to the top of the North and South bowls. There is also an all-day semi-private (12 people/day max) cat skiing service for the other 3 bowls.
Keystone is known also for it's 5 acre zambonied skating lake (largest zambonied surface in North America), sleigh rides and many Zagat-rated 4- and 5-star restaurants. Keystone also has some of the most uniformly laid-back and well-maintained condos and townhomes of any ski area. There are over 2,000 properties available for rent in Keystone all within a short walk or free shuttle ride to one the two base areas called River Run (newest) and Mountain House (Original, less crowded).
In summer, Keystone also is a home for lift access mountain biking, biking parks and hundreds of miles of single-track mountain biking and some of the best hiking and fly-fishing in Colorado.
